“Prijatelji” in the Green Room

The American Serbian Club of Pittsburgh was pleased to host “Prijatelji from Canada” this last Saturday night. We would like to thank, Nenad Radulovich for bringing this group together for this special performance in South Side what a treat for those in attendance and a major contribution to the cultural music boom in South Side PA.

Prijatelji is composed of 4 members, three of whom were born in Europe:

 Zoran Nikolic: clarinet 
 
-born in Sarajevo, graduate of the Unviersity of Sarajevo; played with every major musician of the ex-Yugoslavia; owner and chief instructor of his own studio in London, Ontario, Zoran’s students have won countless awards in Canadian music festivals
 
Milos Cobanov: guitar
 
-born in Mokrin, Banat, Serbia, Professional Engineer, graduate of the University of Novi Sad; member of numerous well-known tambura bands in Serbia; plays every tambura instrument
 
Miroljub Petrovic-Mishko: accordion
 
-born in Belgrade, Serbia, Professional Engineer, graduate of the University of Belgrade; played with man folklore ensembles in Belgrade; singer with both the Stevan Mokranjac Choir of Hamilton Ontario and the Kosovo Men’s Choir of Ohio
 
Nenad Radulovich: upright bass
 
-born in Hamilton, Ontario, professor of History/Social Studies at Fairmont State University; member of St. Archangel Michael Serbian Folklore group of Niagara Falls; plays bass, bugarija, guitar and when the mood strikes, blues harmonica
