2017 Serbian Singing Federation Festival

The Holy Trinity Cathedral Choir of Pittsburgh is once again excited to be hosting the Serbian Singing Federation of America Annual Festival in 2017. They are pumped to keep the Festival vibe rolling from Kitchener and look forward to having a great weekend filled with fabulous food, sizzling entertainment, and of course our choir friends from near and far. Maybe even a few surprises along the way. 

Festival is running Friday 5/26 and Saturday 5/27 at the Club, with a picnic on Sunday at the Castle Shannon Picnic Grounds.  A buffet dinner will open at 7 PM each night!  Cevaps will be sold between 9 PM and midnight!
 
Friday night the Bajich Brothers from Kansas City will entertain the crowd.  Admission is $10.00!
 
For $15.00 on Saturday, you will hear the sweet sounds of Radost upstairs, with Pobeda pumping up the crowd downstairs!
 
The ASC can’t wait to see all the choirs in the club!
 

A Soccer Night at ASC: Meet the Team!

Come out to this week’s Happy Hour and meet the ASC sponorsored soccer team: FK Dinara! FK Dinara has been in existence for a year. The team plays an outdoor season in GPSL and just finished an indoor season. FK Dinara is gearing up to play in Cleveland Karadjordje’s Memorial Day Weekend tournament in 3 weeks and hoping to play in Srbijada in Chicago over Labor Day Weekend. We can’t wait for everyont to meet this fantastic team!

To help with entertainment, Orkestar Pobeda will fill the club with some great tunes! Will you be coming in after work? No worries! Our executive board will doing Primanti Runs every half hour for only $10.00!

Doors open at 5:00 PM with free admission until 6:00 PM! We can’t wait to see you at the club!

Happy Hour featuring Radost

It’s an exciting weekend in Pittsburgh! The Tamburitzans will be celebrating their 80th anniversary and for those of you not fortunate to get on the boat cruise, come on down and enjoy an ASC Happy Hour. Doors open at 5, and Orchestra Radost will begin strolling the barroom around 6:30!  The kitchen will be open and it will be a great opportunity to meet with friends near and far.  We can’t wait to see you this weekend! 

Spring for Lifeline V

Join the Tri-State area’s Lifeline team and come and support Serbia’s orphaned children. This is an evening of music, song and dance. And this year we will be joined by Their Royal Highnesses, Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine of Serbia!  Doors open at 7, The Tamburitzans perform at 8, strolling musicians, silent auction (we have some awesome items) 54 Card Draw for an autographed Mario Lemieux jersey, Chinese auction items and much more.  Your support will help those less fortunate!

ASC Happy Hour: Leadersh!t

We will welcome Rande Somme to ASC’s Happy Hour. Rande is President of Rande Somma & Associates, LLC, Leadership Coaching and Development Professionals. Rande will not be singing, but he will be signing – his new book – Leadersh!t: A Look at the Broken Leadership System in Corporate America That Accepts Leaders Who are Really Good at Being Bad.   Proceeds of book sales that evening will benefit the ASC Foundation scholarship fund. If you can’t make it to the cub that night – order your book TODAY to benefit the Foundation.  Order forms can be downloaded here.   March 24th the club will open at 11 a.m. for fish and more all day.  At 8:30 Srpski Sinovi will be playing for your dancing and singing pleasure and Tiho’s kitchen will open at 9.  Promises to be a great evening!

American Serbian Club Foundation 2017 Scholarship

The Board of Directors of the American Serbian Club Foundation is pleased to announce the four year anniversary of the formation of the Foundation, a not-for-profit 501(c) (3) corporation. The Foundation’s mission is to support and preserve Serbian culture and history by various means, including a scholarship program for the children of the members of the American Serbian Club of Pittsburgh.  

This June, the Foundation will award annual scholarships of up to $1,000 each  to children of Club members. To be eligible for a scholarship, the student must be a high school senior, who maintained a cumulative high school grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 and will graduate this year. Candidates must be enrolled in, or accepted by, an accredited institution of higher education or a Commonwealth-approved post-high school program. Each scholarship applicant must be sponsored by a parent, who is currently, and has been a regular member of the Club for the three most recent calendar years,(2014, 2015 and 2016). Finally, all scholarship recipients mustattend the Awards Ceremony at the American Serbian Club Picnic on June 25, 2017.

3rd Annual Southside Blarney Bash

Announcing the event you have all been waiting for… The 3rd Annual Southside Blarney Bash!

Please join us for what is becoming Pittsburgh’s premier St. Patrick’s tradition and a party that you will not soon forget! Come down to the ASC Pittsburgh on Saturday, March 11th, 2017 and get our Irish on! Doors will open at 12pm and the band will play from 1pm til 5pm.

This year’s event will showcase the musical talents of the Half and Tans, an all star lineup featuring the ASC’s own Mark Jovanovich, Justin Greenwald, Nick Vranesevic and special guests! They will be playing classics that will be sure to rock the house.

There will be plenty of munchies as well as a cash bar for you rowdy leprechauns. The Serbian Club’s kitchen will also be open with a delicious menu! 

Incredible Music, Cheap Drinks, Great Food and Clean Bathrooms!
